David Larcombe, who will also in the future retain his position as Managing Director of the Bystronic subsidiary Edwards Pearson Limited (Chard, Somerset/UK), will from 1 May 2005 also take over the position as Managing Director of Pullmax Limited (Leeds/UK), which was taken over by Bystronic at the beginning of the year. Following this step David Larcombe is thus responsible for all Bystronic activities in Great Britain and Ireland. "With this transfer of the complete responsibility to David Larcombe, we will in future be able to take full advantage of the synergies between our two English companies and be able to further improve our market position in Great Britain and Ireland", in the words of Christoph Schüpbach, Head of the Bystronic Market Region Europe North/East.

Kevin Brien, the current Managing Director of Pullmax Limited, will put into effect his wishes expressed in October of last year, and will withdraw from his professional activities. In order to ensure a seamless takeover of Pullmax Limited by Bystronic, Kevin Brien has postponed his original date of departure from the end of April until the end of May 2005. Christoph Schüpbach: "I deeply regret the departure of Kevin Brien and would like to express my sincere thanks for his outstanding work and wish him all the very best for the future".
