Bystronic showed unreserved satisfaction with the course and the results of this year's EuroBLECH. The number of visitors as well as the number of new customer contacts on all five days were extraordinarily high and clearly exceeded those of EuroBLECH 2004. "Noticeable and extremely positive was that on the customers' side, strong optimism in respect of the future business development prevailed, coupled with a corresponding readiness to invest", comments Christoph Schüpbach, Head of Market Region Europe North/East.
The interest of the visitors to the Bystronic exhibition stand was spread across both laser and waterjet cutting as well as bending, and hence it was possible to initiate an abundance of new and highly interesting projects for all three technologies. Particularly popular was the ByVention, the latest innovation from Bystronic, about which in the run-up to EuroBLECH volitionally only the five core characteristics were "leaked": Simple and compact, clever, reassuring and complete. Over and above this, Bystronic managed to keep all additional information a secret. Christoph Schüpbach: "The EuroBLECH became, as it was intended, the "Big Bang" for the ByVention. Correspondingly it had a great surprise effect and ensured excellent feedback from both existing and future customers. This feedback related to all the important facets of the machine: The extremely small space requirement, the completely new material flow concept, the simplicity of operation and the new business model whereby the ByVention is sold worldwide as a complete package at a single standard net price of Euro 265,000 or US Dollar 318,000." Included in this package is the basic machine together with the associated peripheral devices, the Bysoft CAD/CAM software package, system commissioning, the basic training and two years warranty and preventive maintenance. "Approximately two hours after EuroBLECH opened its doors we were able to sell the first ByVention – notabene without preliminary negotiations. This confirms that we are on the right track with the machine concept and the business model", says Christoph Schüpbach. Once again visitors were enthusiastic about Bystronic's impressive and professional stand design, which demonstrated openness, awoke emotions and over and above this guaranteed a perfect overview and orientation. The highly motivated stand personnel also played an essential role in ensuring that visitors to the Bystronic exhibition stand felt completely at home.
"For Bystronic, this year's EuroBLECH was a complete success. The demand for our products and services has reached a record level, the mood on the markets is positive and with the ByVention we were able to present an optimal extension to our current machine portfolio. Furthermore, we traveled to EuroBLECH with the aim of demonstrating that Bystronic customers manufacture more cleverly and more cost-effectively. I believe we succeeded in this across the board", concludes Christoph Schüpbach.
